If you were fighting for your life in a battle against llung cancer, you were recommended a drug to try, and you submitted that to your state health insurance, how would you like to receive a rejection letter that said, “We can’t pay for this drug, but we will happily pay for palliative care or your doctor-assisted suicide if you like.”? Uh, I have no problem with doctor-assisted suicide if the person asks for it. But should the government who is controling what health care you get offer it? It’s like saying you’re just too expensive to care for. Why don’t you just end it?
