Wow. What’s with people screwing up recipes in magazines and poisoning people this year? First there was the henbane incident, and now, a recipe for an apple cake called for 20 nutmeg nuts instead of two pinches of nutmeg. In case you didn’t know, that much nutmeg can make you feel pretty icky.
My thoughts go in two directions. First, who would go and make a cake that called for that much nutmeg without wondering if something was wrong with this picture? Who would manage to eat said cake? But, on the other hand, how do you make that mistake? That’s one hell of a typo.
Any way you look at it, that’s pretty weird. I wonder what the next secret ingredient will be.
