Here comes another lawsuit that shouldn’t have gone forward, but it is.
It’s been a long-standing thing that if a fan gets hit by a foul ball or an errant piece of bat, they can’t sue. But apparently 5 supreme court judges said that wasn’t true anymore in the case of 8-year-old Tara Sweeney, who got hit in the head by a flying bat. What’s even crazier about this is Mrs. Sweeney signed a waiver protecting the city and the organizers from lawsuit. so this shouldn’t have a chance. Why does it? This is about as bad as that case of that guy who dove into a foot of water and ended up paralyzed.
