I hardly consider myself an environmentalist and I’m not entirely sure I buy the notion that climate change is as bad as I’m supposed to think it is, but I know complete stupidity when I hear it,and boy oh boy,did I hear some just now.
The link above goes to a video of Joe Barton, Republican Representative for Texas (shocking I know) explaining that there’s no need to regulate CO2 because, among other reasons, it occurs naturally in Coca Cola and is therefore safe for people and not a threat. We are also informed that God cannot be regulated, not even by House Democrats. This is 3 minutes of full on retard that’s not to be missed.
I have to give credit where it’s due though. He does manage to string together complete sentences unlike that last government guy from Texas who said stupid things a lot. If you’re not paying attention, it almost seems like he knows what he’s talking about. Credit also goes to the interviewers for not interrupting him with the howls of laughter he so richly deserves.
