Don’t beat these chihuahuas with a spatula. I think they just saved the lives of Ana Lee Spray and her whole family.
Apparently, Spray woke up to a hell of a lot of barking from her 3 toy chihuahuas, each weighing about 3 pounds. they were in the garage. When she checked on the dogs, she found them barking and guarding the door, and in the garage with them was a giant, cornered, angry wild cat of some variety. She got on the horn to 911, and officers arrived to find that it was a grown mountain lion. I guess it thought the chihuahuas would be a good quick snack. they didn’t think so, and managed to corner and scare the thing. This doesn’t surprise me. When I was a kid, we had a pet toy poodle, and my god she would chase a bear if you let her. She treed a raccoon once just by barking.
The officers chased it out of the garage and tried to tranquilize the cat so they could return it to the wild, but it would have none of it, so caboom, it had to die.
What a way to wake up. I think those dogs deserve quite a few doggy treats.
