Google’s Audio Captcha Is Half Broken

Last Updated on: 21st April 2015, 04:17 pm

I’ve noticed this a few times in the last few days and wondered if anyone else has.

So Google has their word verification scheme thingamabobber. They also have an audio link. Sometimes the graphic includes numbers, sometimes it includes letters. When the graphic includes letters, the audio link doesn’t work. If it is numbers, the audio link works just fine.

Thankfully I have other ways to deal with this, but not everybody does. Has anybody else noticed that pattern? Does anyone know how to contact the good folks in Google’s Word Verf department?

In the meantime, thank you once again Solona and WebVisum. You rock my world and make me less likely to hit things and scream.
