Well, it looks like the Christmas cone of Poole has been replaced with a real tree. Yea! I think it’s hilarious that the cone was put in because the tree could fall on someone, or teenagers could steal its decorations or otherwise vandalize it. What was the big reason for the cone going away, besides public outcry? Someone vandalized it.
I still can’t figure out why they’re keeping the cone. They said they won’t put it back in the square, but they’re keeping it around. Why? Because they don’t want to acknowledge that it was a mistake? Why not give it back to its creators and get some money back, or recycle its parts and forget it was ever dreamed up?
