I like a Christmas movie now and then, but it’s never a good time to settle in to watch one when you’re a police dispatcher. Somebody hit a deer, and called in that their car was stuck in the road with its lights off. It took 9 minutes for that message to go out because the dispatcher was enjoying a Christmas movie. Four minutes after that, a car tried to miss the disabled vehicle and rolled, killing the driver and seriously injuring the passenger.
I know it could have happened anyway, but still…what a foolish thing to do. Thankfully, things seem to be being dealt with. But that’s small comfort to the Clinton family.
