Here’s a little tip. If you want to give someone something that you think is the bomb, don’t put it in a box labelled “Bomb!” on their doorstep. It is especially bad to have a drawing of a bomb on the box.
Poor Terri Talbott. All she wanted to do was give Tina Romero some vegetables that made a good cabbage stew. They were the bomb, in fact, or so she thought. So she put them in a box and wrote “bomb!” on it and left the box on Romero’s doorstep. But Romero thought it was an actual bomb, so called 911. The police showed up, the seniors complex was evacuated, and the bomb squad was called.
Talbott happened to be driving by and managed to explain the whole thing, probably before the cabbage stew makings were blown to bits. Although it made me chuckle, the evacuated seniors didn’t think it was such a knee-slapper, and told Talbott so.
Hopefully next, Talbot won’t give her a pot and just write “pot” on it.
