Ann sent me this, saying it’s beyond stupid. I agree.
Two men from the IRS came driving into a Sacramento car wash demanding payment of delinquent taxes from 2006. How much did the car wash owe? A whopping 4 cents! Well, that was what they originally owed. But because this was owed for nearly 4 years, and taxes and penalties were added on, it was up to $202.35. Especially odd was the fact that the car wash had received a letter back in 2009 saying they were completely up to date on their taxes.
And the IRS bothered to do this over 4 cents? What a waste. Why not spend time going after the real tax evaders?
