>I’m sure identical twins do lots of funny pranks where one tries to pretend to be the other, but one place you shouldn’t do that is in court. This lesson brought to you by Matthew and Marcus Mauseri. Matthew was supposed to be in court, on a fraud charge of all things, and his twin showed up. His lawyer noticed something was amiss, and didn’t know what he should do. Should he reveal that this was the twin? Eventually, they figured out through fingerprints that it in fact wasn’t the right guy, and Marcus gave some story about his brother not being able to be in court because he was flying in from somewhere. They didn’t buy it, and Marcus got sentenced to spend six months in the clink for his little switcheroo. When Matthew showed up, he also went to jail.
Also, is it really a good idea to try that trick when each twin has a different hair cut? Wouldn’t you want to look as similar as possible? So when the real guy shows up, there’s no confusion as to who’s who?
