I really appreciate it when people like Faribah Maradiaga make my job here easy for me. I say I appreciate her because if I just launch straight into the mockery I might get myselfstabbed, much like her anger management classmate.
Maradiaga walked into a classroom on the Bellevue College campus, where a court services agency rents space for the anger management class, around 9 a.m. Saturday while a video on anger management was being shown, according to the charges. Maradiaga started complaining about the movie and disrupting the class, according to the documents, when the victim told Maradiaga “the video was good and to give it a chance.”
Maradiaga, who was sitting two rows behind the victim, then stood up and started talking “trash” before pulling out a knife with a 3-inch blade and stabbing the other woman, police and prosecutors say.
The charges say Maradiaga then threatened to kill the victim’s family.
The victim suffered stab wounds to her arm and shoulder, but will be ok.
Maradiaga, meanwhile, has been charged with second-degree assault and is being held in jail on $50,000 bail. She is claiming that the woman she stabbed threatened her first, an assertion that would likely be a touch more credible were she not already facing an unrelated assault charge.
But even though we all know the last sentence is true, if she asks, tell her it was somebody else who said that, ok?
