Apologies to the people subscribed to the RSS feed, the email updates and possibly to the ones following us on Twitter. I’m not sure what’s about to happen to you all, but it might be annoying. There’s also a chance that it could be nothing at all, but since I like you, I figured I’d warn you.
It seems that in the last day or 2, Blogger has been taking a giant dump all over itself. the folks there are doing their best to fix it, and judging by the fact that I can publish things again they seem to be doing a fine job. Whatever happened must have been huge, because it resulted in the removal of everything published to anybody’s Blogger blog from Wednesday night up until whenever the thing went down hardcore, which I think was sometime last night. Yeah, that’s where all the stuff I wrote yesterday went, in case you were wondering. I know I sure was when I got up this morning. We’re being assured that all of it is being restored, so hopefully sometime soon it’ll all be back.
But that’s where the fun starts. I’ve noticed a few random posts from the end of last month showing up in my RSS reader, so I’m probably not the only one. NO idea why that’s happening, because those posts weren’t supposed to have been in the problem batch. So once they get around to putting the problem ones back, who knows what’s going to happen.
So if you get stuck reading anything twice or more, we’re sorry. It’s out of our hands. I’m just glad I probably won’t have to repost everything or worse yet, lose a day worth of content.
