I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but there’s something about this Silas Young hype video that I just love. I seriously think it’s one of the best I’ve seen in years.
In a couple of minutes, you know his name and you understand who he is and who he isn’t. You get some clips of him whipping ass so you know he’s serious, and you get some laughs to keep you entertained so he seems like a human being instead of a completely goofy character, even though the comedy bits are kind of silly. But this is wrestling. You can mix funny and serious into the same person if it’s done right, and I feel like this pretty much nailed it. A big well done to Silas and whoever else came up with this.
