My sister sent me this Please Move The Deer Crossing video a while ago, but I kept forgetting about it and losing it among the far too many messages in my completely ridiculous inbox. Part of the reason is that I was sure it had to be a fake. Her description made it sound like an old joke I remember hearing as a kid come to life. As it turns out that’s exactly what it is, but it came to life as an actual happening and not as a reenactment that people would claim was real but wasn’t.
Yes, that woman really did think deer crossing signs were the deer equivalent to human traffic controls, and she really did call into a radio station to speak her mind about it after lobbying politicians and writing to the papers didn’t work.
