I don’t know what the names of the crew aboard Asiana flight 214 are, but I’m pretty sure I know what they aren’t.

The station has since apologized for the error, but maintains that it had confirmed the names with a National Transportation Safety Board official before running with the story. It has also reportedlyfired three producers, and more shitcannings could be on the way.
For its part, the NTSB insists that it never gives out the names of pilots or any other crew members, and later went on to blame the worst intern ever for the gag. He too has been fired.
