“This is literally a wake up call not only for me personally, but for all of us, to lock our cars at all times because you never know what or who is lurking around outside and around our homes and in our streets.”
Those are the not uncommon words of a person who just had his car broken into by an intoxicated man in the dead of night. On this occasion, they were uttered by Chief Robert Kugler of Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
Chief? What is he the Chief of, you may be asking yourself. Well, you may be surprised and a touch disheartened to learn that he is, at this time, the Chief of the town’s police department. And his violated car? That would be the one he patrols the streets in, because why wouldn’t it be?
Sleep well, citizens. You’re in good hands.
