There’s Been A Misunderstanding. I Was Talking About Hot Dogs And Coconuts

A company that provides online sign language interpreting services is suing a 51-year-old man for an unspecified amount in damages because, they say, he massively abused both their service and himself throughout 2015.

They accuse David Marcano of making 4,646 calls to their video chat even though he isn’t deaf, but the bigger issue seems to be that all of them involved his genitals, which I’m reasonably certain aren’t commonly used for the purposes of speaking ASL.

Since January 1st, he has made over 4,000 calls “for the sole purpose of masturbating in view of ZVRS’s employees,” ZVRS says in a suit seeking unspecified damages.
“In every call made through ZVRS’s software platform, Marcano appears on the video call for the purpose of exposing his genitals or masturbating to ZVRS’s female staff,” according to the suit.
Marcano has called from at least eight different numbers—as recently as September 21st, ZVRS claims—in response to the company shutting down his accounts.

Since I can’t not ask, what would he do when a guy answered? If my experience volunteering at a distress line has taught me anything the answer is probably just hang up and try again, but I wonder if those are included in the call count or if it would be even higher than it is with those factored in.
