Her Bad Behaviour Would Come Back And Bite Her On The Ass If Only It Could

Criminals leave dumb things at crime scenes all the time, but I can’t remember the last time one of them forgot a set of teeth.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were responding to reports of a suspicious person trying to break into homes when they encountered 31-year-old Lindsey Jean Stanley-McShane, according to an arrest affidavit.

“She was barefooted (sic) and didn’t have any teeth. She said she did not know where they were,” the document said.
Deputies noticed a nearby car with its doors open and a key in the ignition. A set of dentures and a pair of pink tennis shoes were inside, deputies said.
McShane “was screaming and talking to herself,” but acknowledged both items belonged to her, the affidavit said.

She also took time to deny taking the car, telling police that she was only a passenger and didn’t know who was driving.

She was first taken to hospital for treatment of a suspected drug overdose and then taken to jail where she and presumably her teeth remain in lieu of $10,000 bail.

  1. So…serious question. Would they have to keep her teeth as evidence? Or could they just take a picture of them so she could have her teeth back? Or were they ruined and she’d need new teeth?

    1. I wonder the same thing. Getting new ones takes quite a bit of time and money, so I imagine they’d have to give them back, but it would be sensible if they did have to stay in evidence until the case is over like other stuff does. But perhaps since they’re a body part they have to make due with some tests, some photos and her admission.
