Accessible Air Travel Survey

The timing on this one seems pretty good what with it being summer vacation season. I’m literally decades beyond the time limit for participating myself, but I imagine some of you might have a lot to say.

SHARE YOUR ACCESSIBLE (OR NOT) AIR TRAVEL STORIES
A large North American airline is currently seeking input from people with disabilities, travellers who have had good or bad accommodation/accessibility experiences in air travel, on any airline, in the past 5 years. The survey results will be used in the development of an online training program for airline staff supporting travelers with disabilities. Thank you for your time and participation.

You can take the survey and perhaps vent your spleen here.

  1. Filling out that survey makes me realize how much I despise airports. I could feel my muscles tensing up already. Aren’t I glad I’m flying again in 9 days? I’m just glad I’m flying with cool people.

      1. Questions just vague enough to get me going. Remember your best experience. What made it good? Your worst? What made it bad? What’s the part of flying where you are most likely to experience challenges? Airports airports airports!

        1. I’m going to guess that your best was that time with the really nice WestJet people and that your worst was either your last landing in Toronto from California or that time you were leaving Toronto with help from those assistance people who were basically arguing over who wanted to help you less right in front of you.

  2. Sadly Westjet and who wants to help less were over five years ago and they wanted me to restrict my experiences to the last five years, so for the good, I talked about a flight attendant who gave me a really good description of the plane and its exits and didn’t mind me asking questions, and yup my last landing in Toronto got buried.
