They didn’t exactly leave a lot of room for promotion considering that the thing debuts tomorrow night, but All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite TV show will be available in Canada.
Details are extremely sparse (there hasn’t been an official announcement yet), but several reputable wrestling sites have reported that AEW and TSN have made a deal to air it live every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Like I said before, TSN is the most logical choice, and hopefully with a lot more time and space to fill than they had during the WWE and WCW days there won’t be the constant preemptions and weird time slot changes that we dealt with back then. The only frustration might come from knowing which of the five TSNs is airing it on a given week, or from people who don’t get all five TSNs not having consistent access to it. I’m not sure how big an issue that last bit is since any package we’ve subscribed to has always had them by default, but I expect there to be at least a little trouble there.
I’ll update this if/when a press release comes out and contains anything approaching useful info.
And here is that useful info. It seems like TSN2 is going to be where it will land most weeks, but in the first month it’s already being moved once.
TSN announced today a partnership with the new professional wrestling promotion ALL ELITE WRESTLING (AEW) to deliver live coverage of the weekly live wrestling show, AEW DYNAMITE, kicking off Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the famed Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
TSN and TSN Direct subscribers can watch the all-new AEW DYNAMITE every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on TSN’s digital streaming platforms, including TSN.ca and the TSN app, and on the network’s five national television feeds (subject to final scheduling confirmation). TSN’s AEW DYNAMITE schedule for the month of October is as follows:
- Wednesday, Oct. 2: 8 p.m. ET on TSN.ca, the TSN app, and TSN2
- Wednesday, Oct. 9: 8 p.m. ET on TSN.ca, the TSN app, and TSN2
- Wednesday, Oct. 16: 8 p.m. ET on TSN.ca, the TSN app, and TSN2
- Wednesday, Oct. 23: 8 p.m. ET on TSN.ca, the TSN app, and TSN2
- Wednesday, Oct. 30: 8 p.m. ET on TSN.ca, the TSN app, and TSN3
TSN’s coverage of AEW DYNAMITE is also available for on-demand viewing to TSN and TSN Direct subscribers via TSN.ca/Live and the TSN app.
