They Should Have Charged Her With Disturbing The Piece

If Fatos Cala really did say racist things to this woman, then perhaps he deserved the pizza to the dome. But what incentive would there be for him to do that if somebody wasn’t starting trouble first and causing him to lose his damn mind? I’d love to know how politely this interaction began.

Responding to a 911 call Friday afternoon, cops found Fatos Cala, the 44-year-old proprietor of Olivia’s Pizza, with his “chest area and head…covered in tomato sauce.” On the floor of the New Port Richey pizza place, police added, were “several slices of cheese pizza.”
A subsequent investigation determined that the pizza slices that struk Cala were thrown by Syeda Saleem, a 28-year-old who lives about six miles from the pizzeria.

Police tracked her down at her home, where she admitted that an incident had taken place.

She explained that her son had thrown up after eating some of the pizza, which she claimed had spoiled cheese on it. She said that when she went to complain and get her money back, shop owner Cala “began to yell racial slurs at her and told her to go back to her country.”

I had no idea that Crazytown was a country, but we’ll carry on.

She went on to say that it was at this point that she “shoved the pizza through the window and the pizza hit him because he was standing in her way,” according to the police report.

I’m not sure how a simple shove would have done that much damage, and it seems that neither were the police. They charged her with a single count of misdemeanor battery.
