Here comes another petition that folks might think about signing.
Naama Erez has written a petition that she wants to send to Freedom Scientific. Her point is a good one. Why doesn’t Freedom Scientific have a lease to own program like their competitors do for buying JAWS?
JAWS is a beast to buy, and even upgrading it is becoming more and more expensive. JAWS 11 has been out for a while, but I haven’t had the guts to ask about upgrading, because I have heard that the price of a software maintenance agreement has gone up ridiculously. I have even thought about turning to Window Eyes or System Access, but there are things that JAWS does considerably better that I need to work. GW Micro, as well as Serotek, have instituted the option of getting their products on a payment plan. Why can’t FS do the same?

There are 591 signatures on this thing. I wonder what’ll happen. Maybe nothing, since FS is far less customer-friendly than its component companies ever were, but we can try.
