You know HumanWare really needs to stop committing marketing fails. Here’s another one.
A couple of days ago, they sent out a message saying that everybody who buys a Victor Reader Stream in the next little while can get a free softpak that they’re selling for around 50 bucks. Then, the next day, I received the following message.
Dear customers in Europe and Australasia,
Yesterday, you received by error an email message announcing a special offer (Obtain a Free Softpak with the purchase of a Victor Reader Stream). This offer was unfortunately intended for US customers only. Please accept our sincere apologies for this mistake and be sure we’ll take the necessary steps to better target our future email promotions.
The HumanWare team
So what about Canadian customers? Does it apply to us too? Or do we need another apology email? I notice they’re only apologizing to those across the pond.
And instead of doing the decent thing and allowing them to have a discount for a limited time since it was HumanWare’s error, all they get is a “Woops, sorry, no deal for you” message.
