Woohoo! I have mentioned possible bills to make sure hybrid cars make some noise. Now, one has passed in the states. Regulators have 18 months to determine what the minimum sound requirements are, and after that, cars have to make that level of sound, and drivers won’t be allowed to turn it off. Aside from regulators choosing the minimum sound requirement, this bill sounds pretty fool-proof.
So, now that that’s been passed in the states, we may experience some benefits from it. This is a good sign, I think.
