Straight Tickets Are Anything But Straight Forward

No wonder there are so many problems with elections in the United States. Who could possibly make sense out of any ofthis?I like to think that I’m a reasonably smart guy, but I’ve read this twice and still have no idea what the heck I’d supposed to be doing to make my votes count. The office of President is not a Partisan Office in some places but is in others. You can vote a straight ticket and cast a vote for everything unless you can’t on a district by district or State by State basis…but not for judges. and even if you do everything right to the best of your abilities it still might not be good enough because voting machines are known to be buggy. Got all that? Yeah, me neither.

I’m not sure what else to say, other than it seems they left a section out of thewhy are other people better at elections than Americaarticle that Ann left in the comments for us. Oh, that reminds me, don’t forget to take ourshould voting be mandatory poll if you haven’t already. I assure you, it isn’t nearly as confusing as any of the things you’ve just read.

One more thing. Ironically, the turnout for the poll so far has only been a tiny fraction of our readership, much like real elections. I’m not sure what that means, but let’s do better, ok?
