What’s the difference between the American media and state-run news organizations typically found in less democratic countries?Sadly, not much.
I’m going to let the words of Glenn Greenwald and more importantly those of representatives from some of America’s most trusted news sources pass largely without comment because they say much more a lot better than I ever could, but I will say this: When so-called journalists are openly speaking out in favour of the exact kind of government secrecy that prevents them from doing the job they’re supposed to be doing, we’re in a lot of trouble.
