Reading this makes me very very very happy I’m not a female squid. Eek! What a way to screw. But there’s one major flaw I see in this theory. If squid always lived in the deep ocean, then why would they need to see? Shouldn’t they have evolved other ways of sensing what those who live in the light use their eyes for? Or did squid only recently migrate to the deep ocean?
And I guess male squid never masturbate, at least not the ones that launch off spirm packets that dissolve tissue on contact. They’d be minus a few tentacles if they did.
All I know is I’m not sure if I can agree with the guy in the Discovery Channel ad who says he loves the giant squid.
