Remember the last time I bitched about commuting via bus? Well, I’m about to do it again, because I’m a fool…well I do love where I’ll be working, but I’m still a fool, but they’ve made it even harder for me. Fuck Greyhound. Fuck ’em hard.
When I did this the last time, I got on the bus at 8 in the morning. Now, that bus is gone! it’s been nixed, killed, rendered not needed or something. I can either get on the bus at 7:30 a.m. and arrive in Kitchener’s main station at 8:20, or I can catch a bus at 8:40, which would deliver me to Kitchener at…late for work!
Let’s write up my new itinerary if I end up having to take the fucking grey dog. I have to be at the dors of the bus by 7:30 in the morning. The greyhound station is not where the city buses arrive. So, I have to walk about 4 blocks from the downtown dropoff point to the Greyhound station. Buses arrive every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. on. So arriving at 7:20 to catch a 7:30 bus doesn’t leave me with enough time to account for problems, slowups, any errors I might make, construction, any hickups of any kind. So I would have to be downtown at 7 a.m. this means catching the bus at 6:40. This means leaving my house at 6:25 or so. This means getting up at 5:25 at the latest.
Ug! This sucks so much that I am trying desperately to find a ride with someone. And this is the point where I say a loud fuck you to the proponents of commuting via bus to work! this is why it doesn’t work! Anyone who *can* drive would never, ever, ever choose this!
