Next time you’re talking to Carin, ask her what day of the week some random date falls on. The odds are quite good she’ll be able to tell you. How she does this I have no idea, even though I’ve listened to her do her best to explain it to myself and many other similarly bemused folks over the years. But one thing I’ll say for her explanations is that although I don’t precisely understand everything about them, they do make a hell of a lot more sense to me than whatever is going on here.
