Here we go, let’s pick on the UK again, this one caused by health and safety officers, who else?. They now want to change the wording of bravery awards given to police. the wording states that the officer receiving the award acted ‘with no thought to his or her safety’. They say that this has to be changed to better emphasize health and safety. People who have received this award obviously think this is “rubbish”.
Hello. If an officer is receiving an award for bravery, they obviously went above and beyond what anyone should be expected to do. Health and safety isn’t usually on their minds in situations like that. Oh what am I saying? this is the country that doesn’t allow cops to rescue drowning people.
