I’m a big ol’ chicken, and haven’t started the process for the N86 yet. Soon, soon, soon!
But one thing I’m trying to figure out is how in hell I’m going to copy over my T9 dictionary from my old phone to my new one. I have put a lot of words in it. I don’t want to start over.
If this phone was a third edition phone, it would be easy. Just use Y-Browser and copy the file. But Y-Browser spits in the face of second edition phones. Well not really. It was just made after they were considered old, so it is not compatible with them.
So…are there any phone geeks reading this? Is there any way to get the T9 dictionary file off a Nokia 6682? Or am I just going to have to accept that I’m starting over with the T9 dictionary? The one mailing list I asked doesn’t seem to have answers, and sadly neither does google. My phone isn’t that old…is it? I know it’s discontinued, but still!
