This is pretty dumb. I at first thought it was happening over in the UK, but I realize that no, it’s happening right here in Canada, in British Columbia.
There’s a new law that says that it’s a crime for a dog to chase any animal. Yup, and all our dogs will get right on reading that law.
Why wouldn’t it be simpler to have a leash law that says that unless it’s your own property, or it’s a leash-free zone, the dog needs to be on a leash? Making a law criminalizing dogs just looks dumb, about as dumb as having an ASBO for a cat.
