Say It Right!

This gets pretty weird by the end, but it kind of made me laugh because I have an old friend who says “melk” and I’ve always thought that was strange since he can pronounce everything else.

  1. Oooooo Barb knows why this is a thing! Id it too. So does Alan! So u’s to do with the great Scottish vowel shift. For some strange reason the Scots said their i’s as short e’s. A bunch of our ancestors came from there and brought that silly vowel shift, with that work in particular, over here.
