Ug. Every time I hear about health insurance companies, it makes me so sad. Ann sent me this last week, don’t know why I hadn’t put it up yet.
La Rosa Carrington has cancer, and has been paying her health insurance. But because one of her payments was a penny short, they stopped her coverage. Then, as soon as she threatened to go to the media, they realized that they’d made an error. Funny the way that works. Apparently she’d already gone to the media, sucks to be Discovery Benefits. But I think they got what they deserved.
I hope she can get better, so she can switch insurance companies and stick it to ’em some more. They’ll be quite a few pennies short then.
