I haven’t always been the biggest Serena Ryder fan. In fact, I still think she kinda sounds like a sheep in Weak in the Knees.
But I can give credit where it’s due, and she deserves some for this cover of It Doesn’t Matter Anymore. This is really good stuff that makes the song feel completely different, arguably more like it was meant to feel considering the lyrics.
Here’s Buddy Holly’s version for comparison’s sake, and just because it will always be awesome.
