An officer was checking a reported disturbance on Wednesday when he heard brakes squeal and an SUV slam into the patrol car behind him.
Ms Rader, who was trying to put on her blouse when the officer approached, said she was taking a topless selfie of herself to Snapchat to her boyfriend.
“I asked her why she was not dressed while driving and she stated she was taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at a red light,” the arresting officer wrote in an affidavit.
Police also said an open bottle of wine was in her console cup holder.
Miranda Kay Rader, 19, has been charged with drunk driving and possessing alcohol as a minor. She is currently free after posting $2000 bond.
As an aside, why is the drinking age in America 21? I’ve always found that silly. You can drive, you can vote, you can go to war and literally die for your country as a teenager, but don’t you even think about touching that Budweiser!
