Sour Dispatch Kids

I have so many questions, and I’m pretty sure the answers to all of them are alcohol and Florida.

A “heavily intoxicated” Florida Man was arrested Saturday night for calling 911 to report that his girlfriend “wished to eat Sour Patch Kids” according to police.
An arrest affidavit does not reveal why Joshua Larson, 37, allegedly phoned the police emergency number at 11:45 PM with the candy dispatch.
When asked about the call by a sheriff’s deputy, Larson “smiled and walked away” from cops outside his residence in Madeira Beach, a city 10 miles from St. Petersburg.
Larson allegedly struggled with deputies as they sought to place him in handcuffs. An “electronic control weapon” was eventually used to take Larson into custody, according to the affidavit.

Yes, electronic control weapon is basically just a fancy way to say Taser.

And also yes, they did charge this fella with misusing the 911 system.

  1. Can Florida just be deleted? They have really gone hundreds of years backwards in their policies recently and just need to be shut down and removed from the public consciousness. Also, cbc thinks that Florida’s governor is actually going to be Trump in the Republican race. Thoughts?

    1. Well, if they run against each other for the Republican nomination on equal footing, Trump kills him. I can’t for the life of me figure it out, but there are still a lot of Republicans who can’t let go of him as their guy. Admittedly he’s a bigger personality, and maybe that’s all it takes. Be loud and over the top, do evil shit. DeSantis is getting the do evil shit part down pretty well, but he’s still working on the other half. He doesn’t draw attention and stir people up in quite the same way Trump does, and that seems to be the entire Republican playbook now. But the problem for Trump is that hopefully he’ll be in jail soon. If not jail, then so entangled in legal problems that it will be impossible to run him as a candidate. But we’ve seen in the last 8 years or so that there appears to be no low Republicans won’t dig underneath, so it’s hard to say.
