An Avoidable Awkward Hour

And now, a few words from Gill. I’m positive I have more than one good answer to her question, but none of them are coming to me at the moment.

I do have a question of my own, though. Does anybody remember when the L in TLC stood for learning and actually kind of meant it? Or when the biggest discovery you’d make while watching the Discovery Channel wasn’t that you’d just wasted your time on some lame ass reality show?

When I was still up at my parents home over the holidays, my mom and I were hard
pressed to find something to watch at ten on Saturday night. I suggested that we
watch TLC, and my mom looked at the TV guide. We found out that there was a show
called Sex Sent Me To The ER. Although my mom is not one of those “well I never!`
types she does play bridge with some. I also wanted to avoid a conversation with
her about just how freaky some people are.

Have you out there in Reader-land had to have an awkward conversation with a parent
or relative, if so, what was it about?

Have a great day
