Shake Off The Blinders, Look At Your City

So, Niagara has launched a tourism ad campaign called “Shake Off the City” encouraging Torontonians to come to Niagara to get away from the hustle and bustle that is Toronto, and this has caused a few Torontonians to cry like babies. They say it unfairly portrays Toronto as an urban jungle.

Um, have they forgotten where they live? It *is* pretty insane. And the campaign sounds like every campaign I’ve ever heard encouraging people to get away from a busy city. Are they mad that Toronto was named? Is that what got their shorts in a twist?

You know, if they had just kept quiet, the commercials probably would have run and that would have been the end of it. Now, they will be memorable. Way to go.
