For reasons known only to him and possibly her, Lonnie Irvin Pinnix really wanted his wife Darlene to leave their home and leave it now! So when she didn’t comply with his wishes fast enough, he did what any rational and logical one of us would do in such a situation,load the old shotgun up with toilet paper and shoot her in the back.
I suppose he got his wish since she did leave, heading for the hospital where she was treated for powder burns she suffered as a result of the incident.
He, meanwhile, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, given a court date of August 11th and placed in jail on $1000 bond, which I suppose means he ended up leaving too.
